Day 2 | 18th June

3:00 PM Web3 & DePin Panel: Showcasing the Web3 opportunity: How will Web3 fundamentally transform traditional infrastructure models?

As the digital landscape evolves, Web3 and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePin) are emerging as key disruptors in traditional models of ownership, data management, network infrastructure, and investment. These innovations are paving the way for a new era of decentralized systems that not only challenge legacy industries but also open up exciting new investment opportunities. In this panel, we’ll explore the revolutionary potential of DePin projects like Helium, Hivemapper, and GEODMET. Our speakers—venture capital investors and project founders— will dive into what makes these projects unique, project evaluation criteria, and how institutional investors can engage with them.

  • Overview of DePin concepts and examples like Helium (decentralized 5G network), Hivemapper (crowdsourced mapping), and GEODMET (precision GPS).
  • Where does DePin fit within the broader digital asset’s ecosystem and future investment trends? And what are the opportunities and risks associated with Web3 and DePin investments?
  • What are the benefits of decentralized networks for institutional investors seeking equity-like participation in infrastructure?
  • How will DePin tokenization models offer an alternative to traditional IPO processes, creating new avenues for ownership and liquidity?

Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Richard.
