Infrastructure gaps, fragmentation, and lack of interoperability between exchanges, custodians, clearing and networks remains the top challenge for the industry. New partnerships and initiatives are underway to try and solve for these challenges, and to enable the market to mature. Participants want to avoid replicating existing legacy infrastructure in the new digital ecosystem. This panel will look to address how to balance the need to create institutional-grade infrastructure whilst maintaining the benefits that blockchain technology can offer, as well as how to build an ecosystem that can connect digital and legacy systems seamlessly.
As digital assets gain institutional traction, post-trade infrastructure is evolving to meet new demands. This panel will compare the current state of clearing, settlement, and custody in digital asset markets to traditional systems, exploring efforts to bridge the gap between the two. Key topics include the mechanisms supporting digital asset clearing and settlement, regulatory challenges in custody and cross-border processes, and innovations aimed at harmonizing digital and traditional post-trade workflows.
Our closed- door buy side boardrooms provide asset managers with the opportunity to sit down with their peers in a vendor free environment to discuss shared challenges and opportunities.
This session is closed-door and limited to 15 attendees; a survey will be emailed two weeks before the event for attendees to select sessions, allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
