Jurrien Timmer

Jurrien Timmer is the Director of Global Macro at Fidelity Investments. Jurrien is part of Fidelity’s Global Asset Allocation group, where he specializes in asset allocation and global macro strategy to help investors better understand U.S. and global markets. Jurrien has been at Fidelity for 27 years and has close to four decades of experience in the industry. He appears frequently in the media and can be seen on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business. He is also on social media via Twitter, boasting 158k+ followers, as well as LinkedIn, with over 32k followers on the platform. Prior to assuming his current position in 2005, Mr. Timmer held various other roles within Fidelity, including director of market research and technical research analyst. He also co-managed Fidelity Global Strategies Fund from 2007 to 2014. He has been in the investments industry since 1985. Jurrien earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Babson College. He was born and raised a Dutch citizen in Aruba, but has been living in the United States all of his adult life. He became a US citizen in 2002.
