Jeremy Punnett

Jeremy joined M&G in 2019 as a Director of Corporate Finance where he led active engagement on corporate governance, the energy transition, capital allocation, strategy and other ESG issues. After assisting the public equity funds with private transactions he was a founding member of the M&G Crossover Fund that launched in October 2022.

Crossover is a hybrid private / public investment strategy that is looking to invest in private companies with the potential to IPO. Crossover is backed by GBP 500m evergreen commitment and has concluded six deals in a variety of different sectors.

Prior to this he has 25 years of experience in structuring and closing deals. Initially he worked for 5 years at KPMG in strategic consulting on private equity, M&A and corporate strategy. This was followed by time at PA Consulting Group before moving into executive functions within the shipping industry and offshore energy industry, initially for Bibby Offshore in the UK and Singapore. Following this he launched a listed investment company that raised USD 130m equity on the London Specialty Funds Market.

He has a B.Com and M.Com in International Business from the University of Auckland, an MBA from Manchester Business School, a MSc in Economic History from The London School of Economics and qualified as a CFA charterholder in 2022.
